Upon Closer Examination
In May of 2021 the city came through my neighborhood cutting down all the ash trees they had earlier marked with a stripe of paint. Though most still looked healthy, the trees were doomed by invading emerald ash borers. I grabbed my camera and photographed the marked trees that bordered a nearby park. A few days later the trees were gone, sawed to pieces and hauled away in big trucks.
There are six different trunks here, two each on three plates. The image bleeds off the paper left and right.
