A number of years ago I photographed a triangle shape that had been sprayed on parking lot pavement in William O'Brien State Park. While working on the piece in Powerpoint, I noticed the phrase "Alt text: A triangle in the dirt" was displaying adjacent to the image. I decided to incorporate the phrase into the print, just as it appeared in Powerpoint. However, I did flip the triangle upside down, and I also manually swiped some pink ink on the paper before running it through the press. This print is about the risks of letting machines describe works of art and also about the risks to gay rights in 2025.
